Why did you join EWB?

I joined EWB when the Tanzania project initially began to be a part of a project from the ground up. I wanted to be a part of a organization that uses their engineering skills to make an impact in people’s lives.

Why did you stay?

As I joined more committees and volunteered or participated for EWB’s outside events, I became closer with a lot of my peers from all the projects. I soon found myself wanting to be more involved to eventually becoming part of the executive board.

How has EWB helped you?

EWB has helped me in showing me that there is a wide plethora of ways in which engineers can work to improve the lives of others and that there is always more that one can do if you are passionate about something. The project meetings are always a great break in the monotony of going to class and doing work, and it really drives home the feeling that everyone here is part of one large community.
